This article provides help if you are having issues unlocking your Assure Lock 2 Touch using the fingerprint reader.

If your door fails to unlock after you have scanned your finger, check the following:

1. **Does your lock have power?**
If your lock does not have power, check that the batteries are installed properly or insert new batteries.
2. **Is your finger clean?**
Ensure your finger is clear of any dirt, residue, or wetness.
3. **Does your finger have good contact?**
Make sure your finger has constant, good contact with the fingerprint sensor.
4. **Is the fingerprint scanner clean?**
Make sure it is clear of any dirt or residue.

**Is your fingerprint still failing to unlock the door?**

Watch the lighting at the top of the lock, above the Yale logo and listen for the tones coming from your lock. After the fingerprint is scanned, if the LED on the top of the keypad flashes amber and then green, this means the fingerprint was successfully scanned and the door should unlock.

After the fingerprint is scanned, if the LED on the top of the keypad flashes amber and then red, this means the fingerprint was unsuccessfully scanned, or the fingerprint that was used is not registered in the lock. Verify that you are using a fingerprint that has been registered for your specific lock in the Yale Access app.
