Our team discovered an error impacting Yale Assure Lock 2 Temporary Entry Codes managed in the Yale Access app. The error has resulted in a valid Temporary Entry Code to stop working before the scheduled End Time.

To fix this issue, an Owner will need to take the following steps for each Assure Lock 2 that they own:

## 1\. Check your Assure Lock 2 firmware

1. In your Yale Access app, tap the **gear icon (****⚙****)** in the bottom right hand corner to get to **Lock** **Settings**.
2. Select your lock.
3. Scroll down and tap **Device Information**.
4. If your lock is already on 1.3.16, proceed to step 2.
5. If your lock is reporting firmware version 1.3.15 or older, an Owner will need to manually update the lock firmware over a Bluetooth connection.

**To update your lock's firmware:**

1. Have an Owner of the lock navigate to the app’s Lock Status screen and connect to it via Bluetooth (stand within Bluetooth range of the lock).
2. A pop up should appear a few seconds later prompting the Owner to update the lock firmware.
💡 **_It can take several minutes to complete the firmware update._**

## 2\. Modify your existing Temporary entry codes

💡 **_If your lock is on the latest 1.3.16 firmware and you have a Yale bridge that is online, you can complete the following steps remotely._**

1. In your Yale Access app, tap the **Guest icon** to get to the **Guest List**.
2. Scroll down to the **Entry Code Only** section of your Guest List.
3. Select an entry code with Temporary access.
4. Tap **Temporary** on the Access Schedule line.
5. Tap the **End Date** date and time.
6. Modify your existing end time and add 1 minute.
7. Tap **OK** at the bottom of the screen.
8. Tap **Save** at the bottom of your screen to confirm.

❗**_Are you unable to update your lock’s firmware within Bluetooth range?_** Select the Owner type below for further instructions.

## Host Using the Yale Access Airbnb Integration

It is best to temporarily deactivate the Airbnb integration until you can update your lock’s firmware within Bluetooth range.

To deactivate the Airbnb integration:

1. In the Yale Access app, tap the **menu icon (****☰****)** in the top left corner.
2. Select **Works With**.
3. Select **Airbnb**.
4. Tap **Disconnect**.

Once the integration is deactivated:

1. In the Yale Access app, tap your **House name**.
2. Tap the **Guest** icon at the bottom right side of the screen.
3. Delete your upcoming reservations’ Entry Codes. You will need to delete all Entry Codes that have a Temporary access schedule.
4. Until your lock's firmware is updated, you will need to create your entry codes for each reservation right before check-in and delete the entry code shortly after checkout. All reservations will require **Always** access.

This process must be repeated until your lock's firmware can be updated.

## Standard Owner

If you manually create Temporary Entry Codes, delete all existing Entry Codes that have a Temporary access schedule. It’s best to create each Entry Code right before access is needed with Always access. Once access is no longer needed, you can delete the Entry Code.

To manage your Guest list:

1. In the Yale Access app, tap your **House name**.
2. Tap the **Guest** icon at the bottom right side of the screen.
