Yale locks with Zigbee or Z-Wave are compatible with Samsung SmartThings hubs and the SmartThings app.  
  

**PLEASE NOTE****:** In order to manage lock entry codes in SmartThings, you will need a SmartThings hub and a Yale lock with either a Z-Wave or Zigbee module. If you are using a Yale Access module with your Yale lock, you will be able to import your lock into SmartThings and manage the lock entry codes through the Yale Access app.

#### Activating Entry Codes

The following instructions are for the SmartThings Samsung Connect App.

There are 2 ways to activate this feature:

Via the **Favorites** tab:

1.  Open your SmartThings app
2.  Go to the **Favorites** tab and tap the **+** icon
3.  Tap **Service**
4.  Tap **Smart Lock Guest Access**
5.  Tap **Continue**
6.  Tap **Allow**

  
Via the **Life** tab:

1.  Open your SmartThings app
2.  Go to the **Life** tab and tap the **+** icon
3.  Tap **Smart Lock Guest Access**
4.  Tap **Continue**
5.  Tap **Allow**

  
  

#### Managing Entry Codes

1.  Go to the **Life** tab
2.  Tap **Smart Lock Guest Access**
3.  Tap **Locks**
4.  Tap **Lock Codes**  
5.  Tap **Invite Guest**
6.  After completing the fields, tap **Create Code** 

  
Your code has now been created and can be shared via SMS.
