I am having issues connecting my lock to matter.

* Make sure your Matter over Thread border router is setup. Reference this article for list of approved border routers. (insert link to this article: What Matter Over Thread border router does the Yale Smart Lock work with? )
* For setup, make sure your phone and the Matter over Thread border router are on the same Wi-Fi network.
* Confirm the Matter enabled app and Thread border router are up to date and the are no pending updates.
* [Ensure IPv6](https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/12391458?hl=en-GB&co=GENIE.Platform%253DAndroid&sjid=6458391230327550458-NC)) is enabled on your home wireless network.
* Confirm the lock is in Matter beaconing mode. The gear key should be flashing white.
    * To get the lock in Matter beaconing mode, after installing the batteries the keypad should be flashing white.
    * Open the door, then press and hold gear key on your lock. The lock will extend the deadbolt. Then the gear key should start blinking slowly indicating that the lock is ready to be connected to the Matter enabled app.
    * If the gear key stops blinking, simply press and hold it again to restart the process.
* With the gear key flashing, navigate to the Matter Enabled App you wish to set the device up with and add the lock to the Matter network.
* Confirm you are scanning the correct Matter QR code when prompted. The Matter QR code and numeric code are located on the side of the Thumbturn under the battery cover.
* If the above actions do not resolve the issue, please try the following in order.

    * Force close the matter app, re-open and start the setup process.
    *   Restart your phone.
    * Finally, if the above does not work, power cycle the lock by removing one battery and then placing it back into the lock.
        * You can also power cycle the Matter over Thread border router. To do this first check to see if there is a reboot command in the Matter enabled app under Device Settings. If not, unplug the Matter over Thread border router and plug back in.
