This article will help guide you through the steps to install and set up your Yale Assure Lock 2.

#### 1\. Download the free Yale Access App on your smartphone and create an account.

#### Step 2. Tap **Set up a Device** from the app menu.

  

  

#### Step 3. Scan the QR code located inside of the lock, on the right.

  

If you cannot find your QR code, tap **Can’t scan the code?** and enter your serial number (begins with LF).

  

❗_If your Serial Number has an 0, it is the **number**, not the letter O._

#### Step 4. Follow the [in-app steps](https://support.shopyalehome.com/en_us/how-to-install-assure-lock-2-Sk5P3kTgi) to install your Assure Lock.

  

  

#### Step 5. While a battery is removed, insert the Yale Wi-Fi Module.

#### Step 6. Install DoorSense™ by following the steps shown in the Yale Access App.

  
  

#### Step 7. Enable HomeKit, if desired, by following the steps in the Yale Access App.

  

You will need the HomeKit QR code which is above the lock's battery compartment and facing the ceiling.

  

_Tip: The HomeKit QR code has a house icon with it. If you are using a Yale Wi-Fi Smart Module, do not scan the QR code that is on the module. The lock's HomeKit QR code should be used instead._

#### Step 8. Create entry codes by tapping the Guest List icon located on the bottom menu of the app.

  

Tap **Invite** and then choose either **App Access** or **Personal Entry Code Only**. For entry code access, codes can be 4-8 digits long.

  

When a module is being used:

 An Owner may select **Always, Temporary,** or **Recurring** access for both **App Access** and **Entry Code Only**.

  
When _no_ module or Yale Connect is being used (if you have set up your lock as a Bluetooth or BLE only lock): 

An Owner may only select **Always** for both Guest **App Access** and **Entry Code Only**.
