### **⚠** **Yale A****ssure 2 Users: Make Sure Your Wi-Fi Module Has Been Removed**

  

 Before setting up your Connect Bridge, confirm that the **Wi-Fi module has been physically removed** from your lock — even if you’re no longer actively connected to a Wi-Fi network. Leaving the module installed while using the Connect Bridge will cause **faster battery** drain. 

  

If you haven’t removed it yet, follow the **Disconnect from Wi-Fi: Assure Lock 2** steps below before continuing.

  

  

This article will help you add your Connect Bridge to your lock. 

  

If you're currently connected to Wi-Fi, begin by disconnecting. Please note that the setup instructions for the [**Assure Lock / August Wi-Fi Smart Lock**](#Disconnect) [](#Disconect)differ from those for the [**Assure Lock 2**](#AssureLock2)  .

# Disconnect from Wi-Fi

  

## Disconnect from Wi-Fi: Assure Lock 2

  

1.  Open the Yale Access or August Home App
2.  Select the Home where the lock is installed, from the keychain.
3.  Select the gear icon, to Navigate to the lock settings menu.
4.  Select the lock you wish to remove the Yale Wi-Fi Smart module from.
5.  Scroll to the Utilities section and select **Disconnect from Wi-Fi** option.

6.  Select the **_Disconnect from Wi-Fi_** _option from the presented screen._

1.  Remove the locks battery cover.
2.  Remove one battery from the inside of the lock.
3.  Remove the Wi-Fi module from the lock.

## Disconnect from Wi-Fi: Assure Lock / August Smart Lock

1.  Open the Yale Access or August Home App
2.  Select the Home where the lock is installed, from the keychain.
3.  Select the gear icon, to Navigate to the lock settings menu.
4.  Select the lock you wish to disconnect from Wi-Fi
5.  Scroll to the Utilities section and select **_Disconnect from Wi-Fi_** _option._

# **Connect Bridge**

## Connect Bridge tp the Wi-Fi Bridge (All Locks)

1.  _From the lock settings screen, scroll to the utilities section and select **Connect to a Wi-Fi Network**_
2.  _Select **Set up a new Wi-Fi bridge**_
3.  _Scan the QR Code on the bridge, or manually enter the serial number_
4.  _Next, plug in your connect bridge and press the front button for 5 seconds. Wait for the green light to start blinking slowly and then tap the “OK, light is blinking green button” on your phone._

  _5. Select your home network from the options displayed in the app._

  _6. The app will test the Wi-Fi signals and then the Wi-Fi set up is complete._
